2. Face Data Collection and Use
Important: Your selfie photos are processed with the highest level of security and are NEVER permanently stored on our servers. Photos are transmitted only when you explicitly give consent before each analysis.
2.1 What Face Data We Collect
When you use Skin Peach AI's skin analysis feature, we collect:
- Selfie photographs: Facial images you capture through the app's in-app camera
- Cosmetic analysis data: AI-detected surface-level skin attributes including skin tone, texture, visible lines, glow level, and complexion clarity
Chat messages are text only. No face images or photo data are ever included in chat interactions with our K-beauty assistant.
2.2 How We Use Face Data
Your selfies are used exclusively for cosmetic, non-medical skin analysis. We analyze visible surface-level attributes such as:
- Hydration appearance (moisture level, glow, texture)
- Complexion evenness (tone, clarity, brightness)
- Surface texture smoothness
- Visible expression lines (cosmetic appearance only)
- Eye area appearance (brightness, puffiness, visible shadows)
We do NOT provide medical diagnoses, detect medical conditions, or give health advice.
2.3 User Consent Before Transmission
Before your photo is transmitted for AI analysis, the app will display a clear consent prompt that:
- Identifies what data will be sent (your selfie photo)
- Specifies which service will receive it (Anthropic Claude AI)
- Requests your explicit permission to proceed
You may decline at any time. Declining will prevent the analysis from running but will not affect other app features.
2.4 Third-Party AI Processing
To provide skin analysis and chat assistance, the app uses two separate AI services. Each service receives different data:

Anthropic (Claude AI): Your photo is converted to base64 format and sent securely via HTTPS. According to Anthropic's data retention policy, images sent to the Claude AI API are not permanently stored and are only used for the duration of the API request. OpenAI (GPT): Your typed chat messages are transmitted to OpenAI for K-beauty skincare advice. OpenAI does not use API data to train models by default. No photos or face data are ever sent to OpenAI. Review OpenAI's practices at openai.com/privacy.
2.5 Where Face Data Is Stored
- Our servers: NEVER — we do not store photos on any server or cloud database
- During AI processing: Temporary transmission only (seconds, duration of API call)
- On your device: Saved locally in your device's secure FileManager storage until you delete the app or manually remove photos within the app
2.6 Face Data Retention Period

- On your device: Until you uninstall the app or manually delete photos
2.7 Sharing of Face Data
We do NOT sell, rent, or share your facial images with any third parties except:
- Anthropic (Claude AI): Temporary transmission for skin analysis only
- Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or government regulation
Your selfies are NEVER used for marketing, advertising, or shared with data brokers. OpenAI never receives your photos.

3.2 Chat Messages
Text messages you send to the K-beauty chat assistant are transmitted to OpenAI (GPT) for processing. These messages contain only text — no photos or biometric data. Chat history may be stored locally on your device for continuity of conversation.
3.3 Usage and Analytics Data
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the app. Firebase Analytics collects:
- App usage patterns (features used, session duration)
- Device information (model, iOS version, screen size)
- General location (country/region level, NOT precise location)
- Crash reports and performance data
- Anonymous user behavior (taps, navigation flow)
Firebase Analytics does NOT collect your photos or personal facial data.

- Unique device identifiers (IDFA, if permitted)
- IP address (for security and analytics)
3.5 Payment Information
All subscription payments are processed through Apple's App Store. We do NOT collect or store your credit card information. Apple handles all payment processing securely according to their privacy policy.

- Photo Deletion: Delete any stored selfies directly from the app at any time

7. Children's Privacy
Skin Peach AI is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
